Next week, we’ll put our necks on the line by publishing predictions for the shale outlook in 2023. Admittedly, the outlook is a bit ho hum this year by oilfield standards. That’s not to say we won’t have some fireworks though. So to spice things up a bit before the 2023 plot really unfolds, we thought we’d flag some unpredictable wildcards that are a) within the realm of possibility (however unlikely) and b) could make the year much more interesting should they come to pass.
